"Every young person should be able to participate in football in an enjoyable and safe environment, protected from all types of abuse."
1
Visibility
Always be public and open when working with children. Avoid situations where you are unobserved.
2
Medical Treatment
Treat players in an open environment. If a closed area is required, ensure another person is present and parents are invited. Never have the door closed. Explain all treatment and obtain verbal consent.
3
Changing Rooms
Parents should take responsibility for their children where possible. If club supervision is required, staff must always work in pairs.
4
Mixed Teams
Mixed teams must always be accompanied by at least one male and one female manager, coach, or volunteer.
Incident Reporting & Training
Dexter Sports YFC takes every reported incident seriously. We will investigate all reports thoroughly and seek expert guidance if an issue cannot be resolved internally.
Interested in Safeguarding? Our Child Protection Course is open to all adults involved in the club.
