Dexter Sports YFC is responsible for setting standards and values to apply throughout the Club at every level.  Football belongs to everyone and all that participate should enjoy it equally. It is our commitment to confront and eliminate discrimination whether due to gender, race, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or disability.

Equal opportunity at Dexter Sports YFC means that in all our activities we will not discriminate or in any way treat anyone person less favourably on the grounds as mentioned above.

This will include

● Selection for teams

● Appointments to honorary positions

● The selection of candidates or volunteers

● Football development activities

● Courses

● External coaching and educational activities and awards

Dexter Sports YFC will not tolerate sexual or racially based harassment or any type of discriminatory behaviour, whether it is physical or verbal and will work to ensure that such behaviour is met with appropriate action in whatever context it occurs.

Everybody within the Club must clearly understand that bullying will not be tolerated in any form and may be shown in the following ways:-

● Physical – kicking, hitting, theft

● Verbal – racist or homophobic remarks, threats, name-calling

● Emotional -isolating an individual from taking part

All forms will include:

● Deliberate hostility and aggression towards the victim/victims

● A victim who is weaker and less powerful than the bully/bullies

● Tormenting, ridiculing, humiliation

● Spreading rumours, taunting, gestures.

● An outcome that is always painful and distressing for the victim/victims

Dexter Sports Youth Football Club is committed to the development of the programme of ongoing training and awareness raising events and activities, in order to promote the eradication of discrimination within its own organisation and within football as a whole.
